You wonder what the best choices are when it comes to choosing cover material. This choice will depend on several factors. One of the greatest is the climate where you live. Being careful when taking one off and when you are putting it on will help you prevent scratches on the paint. Rolling the cover on and off in a uniform manner can help you avoid this mistake.

Some parts of a vehicle like antennas and external mirrors can be a challenge when putting on a cover. You might consider learning more about customized choices for solving these issues. Several companies offer customization services that provide you with the material and the kind of simple application you want in a cover for protecting your car.

You want the finish of your vehicle to be protected from the particles the wind tosses around. However, be sure to fasten your cover so that wind does cause it to flap back and forth. This motion can cause damage from the cover. This is small tip that can save you big damages later.

If you plan to cover a car for long term storage, be sure to wash, dry and wax it first. Covering up a paint job that is covered with even a slight layer of dust can cause scratches. Remember as well to make sure your car is dry before covering it. The wet finish can dry and cause some covers to stick to it. Peeling a cover off in an area it has adhered to can cause expensive damages.

Front Disc Brakes and How to Replace Them

Well here you are after many requests for this one it’s finally here. I shot this last spring but I’ve been saving it for you as a special present. In this episode we go over the principals of operation and replacement of a basic front disc brake set up. It all starts with a shaking steering wheel and ends with new brakes. I think this is a pretty good video overall and gives the important information you would need to perform this task yourself. A couple of notes. I didn’t have time to go over how to isolate a brake pulsation between front or rear in this video. Also, I had a very easy time of getting these rotors off, I can assure you that this is not often the case, I could probably do a video just on removing difficult rotors alone. I may do a video on that in the future as I collect some different scenarios for you. One Way to Deal with a Spongy Brake Pedal

So you have bled all the air out of the brake system and you have done all you can to eliminate that spongy pedal and it’s still there and driving you nuts. Fear not, after some frustration, trial and error, and some help from some senior techs that I’ve known in the past I have found the best way to eliminate this problem is to go out and lock those brakes up to make that pedal feel better. It’s true, try it in a SAFE area and let me know how it works out for you. I know for a fact this works on Honda’s and Acura’s but it might work on other cars too.
